PhonePe goes live as a payment option on the IRCTC Rail connect Android app

Bangalore, August 13th, 2018: PhonePe, India’s fastest growing payments platform, has entered into a partnership with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to facilitate convenient, fast and secure payments through PhonePe on the IRCTC Rail connect Android app. As a result of this partnership, PhonePe’s 100 million plus users can now pay directly from their bank accounts using UPI, credit & debit cards and also the PhonePe wallet for their travel bookings.

PhonePe has emerged as the largest player on the UPI network having clocked over 100Mn plus transactions in July 2018. PhonePe is live on MakeMyTrip, ClearTrip, EaseMyTrip, Akbar Travels, Abhibus and several other players in the travel space. PhonePe recently launched mini-apps on its platform allowing users to book Ola rides, pay for Redbus tickets and avail Goibibo Hotel services directly from the PhonePe app.
