PhonePe sees a 150% growth in transactions during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days

Big offers, massive discounts and exciting cashbacks. Flipkart’s Big Billion Days saw millions of shoppers from across India shop for their favorite products. The sale also saw PhonePe create history with a 150% growth in transactions over last year.

Here are some interesting highlights:

• The PhonePe platform processed transactions worth Rs.100 crore in a single day with over 50 transactions per second at peak.
• UPI payments saw phenomenal growth and accounted for over 55% of all payments processed on the PhonePe platform during The Big Billion Days.
• Users from all 29 states and 7 Union territories transacted on PhonePe during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days.

This year’s Big Billion Days were larger both in value and the number of transactions we processed on the PhonePe platform. We saw a 25x jump in our transactions in a single day and despite unprecedented traffic on the app millions of shoppers could pay, transact and get instant cashback without any delays.
