Founded in a basement in Gurgaon in 2010, FlowerAura has since evolved into one of India’s most trusted brands for all gifting needs. It began by delivering fresh flowers and thoughtful tokens and later expanded into baked goods with the launch of Bakingo in 2016. FlowerAura has fulfilled over 20 million orders, while Bakingo has delivered 35 million orders. Its widespread reach now extends to more than 20,000 pincodes across the country.

As FlowerAura expanded its e-commerce operations to 620+ cities, it sought a partnership with the PhonePe Payment Gateway to fuel its business goals.

The Challenge: Enhancing Business Operations

Checkout Optimisation: Due to the complexity of the checkout process, FlowerAura observed significant drop-offs among users with strong purchasing intent. Thus, FlowerAura required a payment solution capable of minimising this friction to decrease customer churn.

FlowerAura also required a payment solution capable of seamlessly processing a high volume of payments with minimal downtime, essential to cater to its rapidly growing user base. 

Enhanced Customer Support: FlowerAura aimed to deliver outstanding service and experiences to its users, particularly during peak seasons such as Valentine’s Day and Diwali. They sought a solution that could offer exceptional support whenever needed.

To enhance its payment solution, FlowerAura partnered with PhonePe Payment Gateway, leveraging PhonePe’s leadership in the UPI space. The decision to integrate PhonePe Payment Gateway was driven by its easy onboarding process, industry-best success rates, and robust support infrastructure. 

The Solution: Optimised Payment Solutions

By integrating with the PhonePe Payment Gateway, FlowerAura significantly reduced drop-offs using PhonePe PG’s Fast Forward feature, enabling customers to skip multiple payment steps for faster transactions.

Moreover, by leveraging PhonePe PG’s proactive identification of potential downtime periods for payment methods, FlowerAura was able to proactively avoid transactions with low success rates. This resulted in FlowerAura achieving up to an 80% payment success rate.
