PhonePe AI Connectors

PhonePe AI Connectors help users explore PhonePe products and destinations from a Claude or ChatGPT conversation. In this guide, the selected platform is called the host. The connector can show informational lending and insurance options, compare supported health plans, discover and compare mutual funds, present general investment categories, and locate supported destinations in the PhonePe app.

Read-only The connector does not transfer money, place an investment order, bind an insurance policy, make a payment, or submit a loan or credit-card application. When a user chooses to continue, the connector may present a PhonePe link. Any consequential action occurs separately on a PhonePe surface, where the user reviews and authorizes it.

• A Claude or ChatGPT account with access to the relevant connector or app feature.
• If you use a managed workspace, your administrator may need to allow the integration.
• A PhonePe account, user access token, API key, or OAuth account linking is not required for informational discovery. Some PhonePe destinations require an account after you leave the host.
• Availability depends on the published listing, host account and workspace settings, and applicable regional and age requirements. Individual PhonePe products have their own eligibility requirements.

The following directory setup instructions apply once PhonePe is published and available to your account. Interface labels may vary by host version. A listing that is not yet published cannot be added through the public directory.

Claude

1. Open Settings in Claude and navigate to Connectors.
2. Find PhonePe in the connector directory and select Add.
3. Review the capabilities and data notice shown by Claude. No PhonePe sign-in or access token is required.
4. Start a new conversation and ask Claude to use PhonePe.

ChatGPT

1. Open the app or plugin directory available in your ChatGPT account.
2. Find the PhonePe listing and use the displayed add or connect action.
3. Review its capabilities and data notice. No PhonePe sign-in or access token is required.
4. Enable or select PhonePe in a conversation using the controls offered by ChatGPT, then make a supported request.

Connection-level security is managed by PhonePe and the host. You do not need to install a client certificate, configure IP allowlisting, or supply credentials. No user authentication does not mean that requests are unprotected or that no technical data is processed.

For development, use only an endpoint supplied by an authorized PhonePe administrator. Do not use temporary tunnels or staging endpoints for customer data.

Lending information

View an informational personal-loan experience and continue through PhonePe. The connector does not check eligibility or submit an application.

Try: Show me the personal loan options available on PhonePe.

Insurance information

Explore health or term insurance. An estimate may use age, alcohol-consumption status, and broad city tier. Do not provide medical records or policy credentials.

Try: Show me health insurance options for a 30-year-old in a tier 1 city.

Health-plan comparison

Compare exactly two supported plans. Results may not include every exclusion, waiting period, eligibility rule, or current price. Review current insurer documents.

Try: Help me compare two supported health plans. Ask me for their names.

Mutual-fund discovery

Search by category, asset class, risk, AMC, historical return, AUM, minimum investment, sort order, and other supported criteria.

Try: Show me large-cap mutual funds with moderate risk.

Fund details and comparison

Request details for up to three funds or compare up to three supported funds.

Try: Compare two mutual funds that I name, using their fees, risk and historical returns.

Investment ideas

Browse general categories such as SIP, lump-sum investing, new fund offers, gold, or silver where available. The connector does not place an order.

Try: Show me investment ideas available through PhonePe.

Find supported PhonePe destinations by intent and platform. Opening a result may begin a separate PhonePe journey.

Try: Find where I can manage my electricity bill in PhonePe on Android.

Privacy and safe use

Provide only the information requested for the selected feature. Do not enter a bank-account number, card number, UPI PIN, one-time password, account password, authentication token, payment credential, government identifier, full medical record, or transaction history. The registered tools do not require this information.

The connector receives the selected MCP tool, supplied arguments, and technical metadata needed to deliver and protect the service. PhonePe does not request access to the host’s full chat history, memory, conversation summaries, unrelated uploads, or unrelated conversation content. Provide only task-specific information in tool inputs. Read the PhonePe AI Connectors Privacy Notice, including the disclosures about downstream processing of navigation requests.

Links and leaving the host

The connector may offer links using the PhonePe-owned origin https://phon.pe. Claude or ChatGPT may request confirmation before opening a link. A link or QR code can open a separate PhonePe journey. The applicable PhonePe terms, notices, eligibility checks, and authorization steps govern that journey. Verify the destination before proceeding; displaying or opening a link is not confirmation that a transaction has occurred.

• Product availability, eligibility, price, premium, returns, and terms are not guaranteed.
• Historical investment performance does not predict future returns.
• Fund information is not a substitute for regulated financial, legal, or tax advice. Review current scheme documents, fees, tax implications, risk disclosures, and suitability.
• Insurance information may omit exclusions, waiting periods, underwriting conditions, and final premium changes. Review current policy wording.
• The connector does not provide emergency or medical advice.
• The connector does not execute a payment or other asset transfer.

The connector does not appear

Confirm that PhonePe has been published for your host and is available to your account and region. If you use a managed workspace, ask your administrator whether the integration is enabled.

Cannot connect or access is denied

No user access token or PhonePe sign-in is required. Check your host and workspace settings, retry once, and contact support if the problem persists. Connection restrictions are managed by PhonePe and the host; do not attempt to fix them by sharing credentials, installing certificates, or changing network security settings.

Too many requests

Pause before trying again. Avoid repeated retries or repeated clicks while a result is loading. Contact support if ordinary usage is persistently blocked.

A tool fails or returns no results

Check the request for supported criteria and retry once. Product information or a downstream service may be temporarily unavailable. Do not add sensitive information when retrying.

A link does not open

Check that the initial link uses HTTPS and its hostname is exactly phon.pe, not a lookalike or a hostname that merely starts with that text. Review the destination after redirection. Do not continue to an unexpected site or provide credentials there. Report the feature and approximate time without including payment or account credentials.

When contacting support, identify the host (Claude or ChatGPT), the feature involved, the approximate time, and a brief description of the problem. If useful, include a screenshot with personal information removed. Do not send full conversations, passwords, OTPs, access tokens, payment credentials, or unredacted account information.

For a suspected security issue, contact PhonePe Support to request the appropriate security-reporting channel before sending sensitive details.
